Car rental at Marrakech-Menara Airport
Landing in Marrakech and want to hit the road straight away? Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK) is the home base of Menara Car Rental, and it is where we hand over most of our cars. Handover and return at Marrakech airport are free of charge (0 MAD). We hand over the car at the airport on your arrival, and from there you are only about 5 to 6 km from the city centre and the medina.

- Collect your car at the airport: we hand over the car at Marrakech-Menara Airport on your arrival.
- Return it where it suits you: return the car at Marrakech airport free of charge, or at another of our airports for a fee: Agadir (300 MAD), Casablanca (500 MAD), Rabat-Salé (600 MAD) or Tangier (1,300 MAD).

Our fleet at Marrakech airport
Our fleet has 30 cars, 26 of them automatic: a real comfort if you are not used to driving a manual. There is a car for every kind of trip, from a short city break to a family road trip:
- City and economy cars: Dacia Sandero, Hyundai i10, Dacia Logan, Opel Corsa, from 250 MAD per day.
- SUVs: Dacia Duster (from 400 MAD per day), Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen T-Roc, Cupra Formentor.
- 7 to 9 seats: Dacia Jogger 7-seater, Ford Tourneo, Fiat Scudo 9-seater.
- Luxury: Range Rover, Mercedes G63, Porsche Cayenne, Porsche Macan, Mercedes C-Class.
Prices are higher in summer, from 30 June to 5 September. The exact price for your dates is shown when you book online.
Insurance and deposit
We offer three insurance packages: Basic, Premium and Platinum. The deposit depends on the car and the package you choose; with the Platinum package on economy cars, it starts from 2,000 MAD. Pick the level of cover that suits your trip and your peace of mind.
Driving from Marrakech airport
The airport lies about 5 to 6 km south-west of central Marrakech, so the medina, Guéliz and Hivernage are just a few minutes' drive away. Marrakech is also the ideal starting point for a road trip:
- Essaouira: about 190 km to the west, on the Atlantic coast.
- Ouarzazate: across the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, a spectacular mountain road.
- Agafay desert: stony desert landscapes less than an hour from the city.
- Ourika valley and Imlil: gateways to the High Atlas, perfect for a day trip.
- Agadir: via the A7 motorway, in about three hours.
For mountain roads, or if you travel with plenty of luggage, an SUV such as the Dacia Duster or a 7-seater is a comfortable choice.
Practical tips
- Minimum rental: 3 days, and 7 days in summer (30 June to 5 September).
- Book early in summer: demand and prices are higher, especially for automatics and larger cars.
- Travelling with children: add a child seat for 30 MAD per day.
- Useful options: GPS (50 MAD per day), additional driver (40 MAD per day), cool box (20 MAD per day), roof rack (40 MAD per day).
